What's Included?

The most frequently asked question when we are discussing estimates with potential customers is “What’s Included in a Tear Down, Transport and Set Up?”  In order to help our customers’ thirst for knowledge, below are listings of typical items included in our services when we use the terms “Tear Down” or “Set Up”. We have also broken this down between single wide homes versus double or triple wide homes since single wide homes are usually a less involved process.

TEAR DOWN 

Single Wide Homes

• Install Axles, wheels and tongue
• Disconnect Service Connections
    Electrical, Sewer and Water
• Secure cupboard doors and
    appliances for transport
• Remove blocking material from
    underneath of home

Double and Triple Wide Homes

• Install Axles, wheels and tongues
• Disconnect Electrical, Sewer and
    WaterService Connections
• Disconnect Heat, Electrical, and
    Water Crossover Connections
• Roll carpet to one side of home to
  expose marriage line in floor
• Separate individual units of home
• Install Uprights and Bracing for transport
• Secure cupboard doors and
    appliances for transport
•  Cover open sides of units for transport
•  Remove blocking material from
    underneath of home

TRANSPORT

• Pull Trip Permits
• Provide Pilot Car Services
• Transport home from one location to the other

SET UP

Single Wide Homes

• Install vapor barrier
• Install blocking and level home
• Adjust windows and doors
• Remove axles, wheels and tongue

Double and Triple Wide Homes

• Install vapor barrier
• Reconnect individual units of home
    at marriage line
• Install blocking and level home
• Adjust windows and doors
• Remove axles, wheels and tongues
• Install new Ridge Cap on roof
• Re-install exterior trim pieces over marriage line
